Doug started playing organ professionally at the age of 15, and during the 60's and 70's shared the bill with Neil Young, Boz Scaggs, Grassroots, Sha-Na-Na, Gabor Szabo and many others.
After completing a 7+ year Saturday night jazz residency with his piano jazz quartet at the Kings Inn Hotel in MIssion Valley, San Diego and a monthly Organ Jam session at Rosie O'Grady's, he is currently hosting a monthly organ performance and jam session the last Sunday of every month at The Jazz Lounge, San Diego.
He also is the founder and host for the San Diego Jazz Organ Summit, the next event coming May 28, 2023.
He owns and performs with iconic vintage Hammond organs and Leslie speakers and is currently studying jazz organ with the legendary Tony Monaco.
